About this game

Neon Drift is a 3D hover racer through a neon synthwave canyon, with its own synthwave soundtrack. Snatch crystals to charge your boost, weave around pylons and chase a ghost of your best run up the online leaderboard.

Each race is four laps after a 3-2-1 countdown, and each lap raises your top speed by 12 percent, so the final lap is the wildest. Crystals charge the boost meter and come back every lap; hold boost to burn it for extra speed. Hit a pylon and you are thrown backward and briefly lose control, and grinding along the walls costs speed. Your first finished race saves a ghost; after that the ghost replays your best run, and each lap split shows whether you are ahead or behind it. Your total time goes on the Top Pilots board.

Keyboard: steer with A and D or the arrow keys, hold Space to boost, hold S or Down to slow down. Space or Enter (or a click) starts a race. Touch: tap to start, drag on the left half of the screen for a floating steering stick (pull down to slow) and hold the BOOST button at bottom right. Gamepad: left stick or d-pad to steer, hold A to boost, push down to slow, A to start.
