About this game

Lantern Trail is a cozy idle monster-trainer adventure. Pick your first Wildkin partner (a fiery red panda, a jelly-eared bunny or a dandelion-puff mouse) and set out along a trail of nine routes, from sunny meadows to a moonlit summit.

Your team battles wild Wildkin on its own, even while you are away. Tap the battle to cheer and deal extra damage. When a wild Wildkin is defeated you throw a glowing paper lantern: if it settles, that Wildkin joins your team. Catch duplicates for bond stars, keep an eye out for rare shimmering Glimmers, and look for two mythic Wildkin hiding at the summit.

Spend coins to level up your team and watch them evolve at levels 16 and 36. Learn the eight elements to find super-effective matchups, and fill your Dex: every form you befriend powers up the whole team. At the end of each route a Warden waits with their ace; beat them before time runs out to earn a badge and open a new team slot. Earn all eight badges, then defeat the Champion.

When progress slows, start a New Journey to earn Starlight for permanent perks, and see how far you can climb on the Trail Records leaderboard.

Controls: tap or click the battle to cheer, and tap the Team, Dex, Trainer and Journey tabs to manage your trainer. On a keyboard, Space cheers and 1 to 4 switch tabs. On a gamepad, A cheers and the bumpers switch tabs. Plays in portrait or landscape, and your progress saves automatically.
